SALGUEIRO |
Adrián
Salgueiro was born in Mar del Plata. He started in
photography in 1991. He studied under Ataúlfo Pérez
Aznar, Eduardo Gil and Gianni Mestichelli, to whom he was also
assistant. In 1999 he worked with Paula Burd to edit Estampas,
a limited boxed edition of 80 original photographs, which was
presented as an audiovisual the following year in Buenos Aires’
Recoleta Cultural Centre and in Rencontres D´Arles in
France. In the same year he photographicaly illustrated the
novel Agua muerta by Pablo de Santis for the internet portal
Educ.ar. In 2001-2002 he worked with Liliana Bustos to create
and coordinate 2 editions of S/T Feria de Fotos (3 days of exhibition
and sale of photographic artworks, with the artists present).
In 2002 he began to organize photographic projections for the
annual multimedia event Fuga Jurásica in Buenos Aires’
Natural Science Museum and, since 2004, he has organized collective
projections of photography with live DJs for Museums Night.
He has had 6 solo exhibitions and has participated in more than
30 group shows. He is a freelance photographer and works as
an art director in publicity.
