"Revolver"
Andrea Nacach

REVOLVER* is an exhibition comprised of three independent projects, nonetheless related in that from different perspectives they reflect on and deal with notions of time and space. In $42.75 NYC-BCN the box where various everyday objects are deposited appears more than anything to be an intimate space with which we can identify. It links two opposite places; two people; two fundamental positions; two destinies. In contrast, in 7th Floor, the home being emptied of furniture, people and memories is a place of transit between two instants: that of an disappearing past and a blank future, devoid of reference points. Finally, in REVOLVER, we observe how individual memory is invoked through a dialogue with images and visual sequences that ‘return’ or come back from time immemorial to install themselves in this concrete, yet unclear, other time.

*from the Latin revolvêre: 1. tr. Shake something from one side to another, move around or up and down. 2. tr. See or register movement of separate things that were previously ordered. 3. tr. Disturb, entangle. 4. tr. Move to sedition, cause disturbance. 5. tr. Meditate, imagine or ponder on various things or circumstances; reflect on these. 6. tr. Return to a path previously tread (Dictionary of Spanish Language. Real Academia Española, Madrid, 2006).
